Try the World's First Beer-Cheese-Wine Hybrid!

Strange Roots Experimental Ales

Meet the Brewer + Happy Hour

Strange Roots Experimental Ales (née Draai Laag) is possibly PA’s most underrated brewery. The difference is in the critters: founder Dennis Hock has been obsessed with yeast and bacteria from the age of 17. Now 37, his bold, creative experimentation with micro-organisms has resulted in amazing liquids. Strange Roots exists at the intersection of farmhouse brewing traditions and creative, locally-driven experimentation.

Tria Taproom is offering Strange Roots on draft for the first time in Philly. We're featuring the world's first wine-cheese beer hybrid, Gewurztria, plus three other Strange Roots gems. Enjoy all four at strangely low prices, and talk yeast with Dennis. Wild/sour beer lovers will go wild.
